Nature and outdoor living
Soudorgues lies in the unspoiled heart of the Cévennes National Park. From the village, beautiful walking trails lead through forests, valleys and rolling hills. In summer, natural swimming spots invite you to cool off in fresh spring water, surrounded by silence and greenery. For children, nature here becomes one vast playground: building small dams in the river, enjoying picnics, spotting wildlife and playing freely outdoors.
For those who enjoy being active, the area offers plenty of opportunities:
—Bambou Canyon — canyoning, climbing and jumping in natural streams
—Bureau des Moniteurs des Gardons — guided canyoning, via ferrata and outdoor adventure activities
—Cévennes Bike Tour — cycling tours through the characteristic Cévennes landscape
—Vélorail des Cévennes — a unique rail-bike experience along a scenic rural railway line
Or visit —Cévennes Tourisme— for even more inspiration and activities.
Authentic villages and culture
In Lasalle, time seems to slow down. Since the 1970s, the village has attracted artists, musicians and free spirits in search of a different rhythm of life. You can still feel that creative energy today in the colourful market, small ateliers, open-air concerts and spontaneous gatherings on the village square.
Here, people greet one another, enjoy coffee on sunny terraces, and in the evening you might hear guitar music drifting across the square.
Weekly market: Monday morning
Anduze is known for its pottery tradition, vibrant summer atmosphere and beautiful setting along the River Gardon. Visit the famous Bambouseraie, one of the most beautiful gardens in France, or stroll through the old town with its lively squares, shops and cafés.
Along the Gardon — especially near the Pont d’Anduze — you’ll find popular spots for swimming, picnicking and cooling off on warm days.
A special experience is a ride on the nostalgic steam train through the Cévennes to Saint-Jean-du-Gard — and back again.
Or treat your kids (and yourself) to a fun afternoon at ‘Paradis Kids’, an inflatable water park for young and old.

A beautiful medieval artists’ village, built against the rocks, with narrow streets, ancient gateways and small ateliers.
Highlights include the photogenic Pont de Sauve, the remarkable rock formation La Mer des Rochers, and scenic walks at the foot of the Coutach massif.
Sauve also offers a rich cultural scene, with craft shops, galleries and the unique Conservatoire de la Fourche, where the village’s traditional wooden forks are still made.
For families, a visit to the donkey farm — Asinerie des Garrigues— is a lovely outing, and for those seeking relaxation, — Les Jardins de Chiron — (spa & wellness) is well worth a visit.

Elegant and historic, with one of the most beautiful markets in southern France. The lively Place aux Herbes forms the heart of the town, surrounded by cafés and terraces.
